Prairie Livestock Veterinarians and Innovative Veterinary Services MERGE to Expand Production Animal Care Across Western Canada
LETHBRIDGE, AB – October 1, 2026
Prairie Livestock Veterinarians (PLV) and Innovative Veterinary Services (IVS) are pleased to announce the official finalization of their strategic merger, effective October 1, 2026. Bringing together two established forces in production animal medicine, the combined organization unites a team of nearly 40 veterinarians, registered veterinary technicians (RVTs), warehouse personnel, and business administration professionals boasting over 118 combined years of specialized veterinary experience.
To support this expanded regional reach, the integrated leadership team—led by managing partners Drs. Jessica Law, Joel Ballard, and Storm Bartsoff—officially broke ground in early October 2026 on a brand-new, state-of-the-art joint veterinary clinic and distribution hub in Lethbridge, Alberta. Construction is currently underway, with the team scheduled to move into the facility in spring 2027.
The merger and new joint facility represent a shared commitment to building robust, sustainable systems that deliver consistent, evidence-based care tailored to the evolving needs of swine, poultry, bovine, and equine operations across Western Canada.
